Why You Should Fly Fish
In the United States, women account for 24% of the overall fly fishing market, which is surprisingly strong, but fly fishing guides don’t necessarily cater to women wanting to learn to fish or women wanting to go on overnight hikes to secluded fishing holes. The good news is that a total of 46% of all Americans who participate in an outdoor activity do it to be close to nature, and we can help you get there. Fly fishing offers that natural contact and escape we are all looking for. Women wanting to learn fly fishing and enjoy the outdoors, while feeling relaxed, comfortable, and in tune with nature is one of the most rewarding thing they can do for themselves. It empowers, while giving a sense of freedom.
Here in Grand County, Colorado, we have six wilderness areas containing many lakes as well as Gold Medal waters on the Colorado River, Fraser River, Blue River and numbers of streams, some of which contain greenback and cut throat trout. Our focus is to create a positive experience in the sport of fly fishing while building confidence.
